President John Mahama, on Friday inspected work on the resurfaced Kumasi Airport runway as part of expansion works at the Airport. In his State of the Nation Address this year President Mahama, announced major facelift of the countrys Airports. After taking a smooth ride on the rehabilitated runway, President Mahama, was impressed with the quality of work done. President John Mahama, who is on a three day visit to the Ashanti Region, said with a very good runway, domestic flights can fly and land safely at the Airport. International Flights can also move from the Kumasi Airports to other neighbouring countries.
