Neil Armstrong's Rot "Shocking" - Nyaho Tamakloe

A board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has described as shocking the rot committed by Managing Director Neil Armstrong Mortagbe. Neil Armstrong who was appointed about ten months ago has been asked by the club to step aside as investigations into alleged malfeasance continues. Mr. Mortagbe was interdicted on several counts of unprofessionalism after a meeting at the Clubs secretariat Monday evening. According to a Hearts source who broke this information to sportscrusader.com soon after the Board meeting, he said Neil is no longer the Managing Director of Hearts of Oak as he has been interdicted on several counts of unprofessionalism an action that did not go down well with the Board especially its Chairman Togbe Afede XIV. There were several things that were leveled against him but the main ones were his misuse of the MDs office and opportunity that was given to him as the Managing Director. He used the Clubs letter head to secure visas for certain individuals an action the Board did not take lightly. Also, he wasnt able to come straight on several dealings he used the office of the MD to transact, one of which was the under declaration of the Phobia Legacy Campaign money from the GH50.000 to GH12.000. Speaking in an interview with Joy FM, Nyaho Tamakloe stated that the level of rot by the interdicted managing director is shocking and shameful. He added that Neil Armstrong Mortagbe is not likely to return to Hearts of Oak after the club uncovered the massive rot during his tenure. If you want to hear bluntly which of course you want to hear I personally dont think he will return because just the surface got all of us surprised and startled so the report might come out with something more frightening which we are yet to see. We had complaints some from the public and the media houses that there had been a lot of things going on at the secretariat which we were told the MD himself was involved and some this things were so disturbing. We were shocked and I dont think any member of the Board expected this from him and I think it has thought us a big lesson and I think in future we will know how to go about certain appointments and placing people at certain positions as far as the club is concerned. The 2000 Africa Champions have struggled in the league this season lying third on the log and are ten points adrift league leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
