Former Acting National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Emmanuel Atefuah-Danso is really feeling the defeat of Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John at the party�s recently organized National Delegates Conference. Atefuah-Danso believes the former NPP Chief Scribe would have dealt properly with NDC government in the language the ruling party understands. He was reacting to reports that a Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, allegedly accused Communication Team members of the opposition NPP of indulging in the habit of smoking marijuana before joining in studio discussions, an allegation which Kofi Adams has strenuously denied on Peace Fm�s flagship program �Kokrokoo�. A tape recording which purportedly captures the words of Kofi Adams saying some NPP Communicators smoke marijuana and sniff "cocaine" before they contribute to discussions on national issues hit the media landscape a couple of weeks ago. On the said tape, he is allegedly heard claiming that NPP Communicators fail to "speak wisely" if not stimulated by the drugs. An angry Atefuah-Danso, contributing to discussions on Okay Fm�s Ghana Decides program, noted that majority of NDC activists do not know how to speak to issues going against their government and rather resort to insults and violence as a form of defense. �With the behavior of Kofi Adams, there should be equal response in the same manner and I agree that this makes me miss Sir John�..if we don�t do that it makes some people feel that they have the franchise over insult and violence in this country over others. I would not see anything wrong if Sir John was the General Secretary and he decides to respond in equal measure to Kofi Adams��when Sir John used to respond to them squarely, it stabilized the level of insults in politics. It came to a point in this country that Asiedu Nketia and his likes realized that they are not good enough when it comes to insults,� he stated.
