The Director of Operations for the National Democratic Party (NDP), Mr Seth Amoah, has asked Ghanaians not to lose hope in the country but rather support the NDP in the 2016 elections.
According to him, it was only the NDP that had the capacity and resilience to get the country�s economy back on its track.
In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Mr Seth Amoah, said as part of the party�s preparation towards the 2016 elections, the NDP would soon embark on a tour to restructure and rebuild its capacity in various constituencies and regions.
�We are currently organising ourselves to have our national congress to elect our leaders ahead of the 2016 elections. Our leaders are always in contact with party supporters and members to discuss ways of enhancing NDP�s chances of taking power from the NDC,� he said.

Mr Amoah stated that the government�s inability to deal with corrupt officials was the cause of the country�s economic woes.
According to the party, until the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) party was voted out, �Ghana�s economy will get worse as citizens will continue to endure hardship�.
He said the only way to get the country�s economy back on track was for Ghanaians to use the 2016 general election to vote the current government out.
� For the last six years, Ghanaians have endured extreme economic hardship at the hands of the ruling NDC. Every sector of the country�s economy seems to be deteriorating and nothing appears to work because the ruling NDC is unwilling to sack its incompetent officials,� he said.
Perceived mismanagement
Citing some of the �corrupt dealings� that have caused the economy to decline, Mr Amoah mentioned GYEEDA and SADA scandals as major issues �responsible for Ghana�s economic woes�.
�We all know what is happening in SADA and GYEEDA. Some officials have decided to loot state money into their private businesses and accounts without considering the implication on the economy,� he said.
According to Mr Amoah, the current government had used state money meant for development projects to pay �some individuals in the name of judgement debt�, adding that the over GH� 50 million paid to businessman Alfred Woyome was one of such examples.
�That is why I am saying the only problem obstructing the country�s growth is the current crop of leaders managing Ghana�s economy. Only NDP has the capacity to redeem the country from its current state,� he added.
