Oguaa Chiefs Accuse Police, Minister --- Of Unprofessional Conduct.

The Oguaa Traditional Council in the Central Region is extremely disgusted at the conduct of the Central Regional Police Commander DCOP Moses Nison over his handling of Ebubonku chieftaincy dispute. They accused the Police Commander and President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs Daasebre Kwabu Ewusi of conniving to install one Nana Kwaku Aduakwa III as the Chief of Ebokonku a suburb of Cape Coast last Saturday when they are very much aware of a dispute. Registrar of the Oguaa Traditional Council Mr. I.A Donkor on the 6th of May 2014, wrote a letter informing the Regional Police Commander of a chieftaincy dispute at Ebobonku and effort being made to resolve it by the Oguaa Traditional council. Below is the first letter which was written on 6th of May 2014 At a sitting of the Judicial Committee of the Oguaa Traditional Council held on 30th April, 2014 to listen to the Petition filed by Nana Kweiduwa Mansa III and one other Plaintiffs and motion for interim injunction field by Mallam Mumuni Ekow Efi and three others Defendants, both parties expressed the desire to have legal representation. As a result the Judicial Committee adjourned the case to 28th May 2014 at which sitting the panel will listen to various legal representations Mr. Donkor indicated in his first letter which he copied the Regional police Commander, the Regional minister, president of the Regional house of chiefs. Oguaa Traditional Council two days later wrote another letter dated and copied the Regional police Commander, the regional Minister and president of the regional house of Chiefs notifying them of the pending dispute at Ebobonku but the Police Commander Regional Minister and the Daasebre Kwabu Ewusi went ahead to install Nana Kwaku Aduakwa. Below is a written by the Oguaa Traditional Council under the instruction of Osabarima Kwesi Atta Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional Council. It has come to our notice that subsequent to our letter dated 6th May 2014, Ebusuapayin Mallam Mumuni Ekow Efi of Akua Boafo Anona family of Ebubonku has gone on air announcing to the general public that he was going to outdoor a Chief at Ebubonku on Saturday 10th May 2014. Knowing perfectly well that there is a case pending before the Judicial Committee of Oguaa Traditional Council Court of which he is a party; it is surprising that he will take such action. The case could have been resolved on 30th April 2014 both parties (one of which is Ebusuapanyin. Mallam Mumuni Ekow Efi) expressed the desire to be represented by counsels. It is therefore clear that until the Judicial Committee sits on the case on 28th May 2014 with Counsels from both parties represented, Ebusuapanyin Mallam Mumuni Ekow Efi cannot go ahead with his intension on the 10th May 2014. I am once again directed by Osabarimba Kwesi Atta Ii (Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional Ares) to request you to use your good offices to suspend all process leading to the installation until the determination by the Judicial Committee. Oguaa Traditional Council counts on your co-operation and assistance. On the eve of the installation DCOP admitted on Peacefm that Oguaa Traditional Council has written to them to suspend the installation but they went ahead for reason known to them supervised the installation of Nana Kwaku Aduakwa III
