Robber Arrested With Wee

PETER AMINGA aka �naa nega,� a suspected armed robber who was said to be in possession of several items, including dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp, has been arraigned before court. The accused person is believed to be part of a group of hoodlums that robbed the people of Ohwimas-Kwaddaso of their valuables on March 29, 2014. The police monitored Nana Nega, 36, for sometime and managed to arrest him at his hideout at Abuakwa Koforidua on May 7 around 1:40am. The police, after arresting Naa Nega, conducted a thorough search in his room and illegal items were found, Chief Supt. Peter Baba, Ashanti Regional Police Crime Officer, told the media on Thursday. According to him, items found on the suspected armed robber included a black leather jacket, which he usually wore during robbery operation at Hilltop and ATM Card, which he allegedly stole from one of his victims. The Crime Officer disclosed that two knives, ammunition, two hand gloves and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp or �Ganja� were found in his room. The police chief stated that the accused person, after interrogation by the police, was quickly arraigned before court on May 12, 2114 which remanded into prison custody. He assured the public that the Ashanti Regional Police Command, led by DCOP Kofi Boakye, would flush out all criminals from the area, urging the public to provide the police with information that would lead to their arrest.
