The chairman of the National Development Planning Commission died Saturday after a pronounce asthma attack, it is suspected. The Municipal Health Director at Lekma Dr Leticia Wiafe told Matilda Wemega of Multi TV, Dr Obeng was brought to the hospital in a taxi. The taxi driver reportedly saw Dr Obeng's car parked in the middle of the road and decided to check and find out what was happening. "We don't have too many of such people in Ghana," he noted. The Chief of Staff under the Rawlings led regime Nana Ato Dadzie was also grieved by the death of his compatriot. He described him as a "leader", a "mentor", a man whose death "marked the end of an epoch."
