Im Now Fired For World Cup Kwasi Appiah

This years Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) flagship award winner, Coach Kwasi Appiah, says he is now motivated more than ever to confront the upcoming challenges at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Last Saturday night, the Stars trainer beat competition from Asamoah Gyan and weightlifter, Juliana Arku, to win the award which he said must have sent positive signals to other coaches to perform at the highest level. This is an encouragement and some of the things I need at the moment before we go to the World Cup, the elated coach told the Graphic Sports moments after he was decorated with the award. The 56-year-old ex- Black Stars skipper was convinced that not only would the award inspire him ahead of the mundial, but it would also serve as a source of motivation for the younger coaches to aspire for greater heights. I am really encouraged by this award and I believe that my colleagues who are also coming up will learn from it to prove that anytime they are given the opportunity they will do their best for Ghanaians to also reward them, Appiah stated. The coach implored Ghanaians to rally behind the Stars in their World Cup campaign in Brazil, saying the players need every support and prayers to be able to achieve their aim in Brazil.
