Star Assurance gives to Otumfuo

Star Assurance, an insurance company, has supported the education endowment fund initiated by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, with Gh10,000. The company also donated varieties of drinks for the celebration of the kings birthday. The Executive Director of the Star Assurance Company, Mrs Boatemaa Panin, explained that the products of the insurance entity had received tremendous patronage in the Ashanti Region over the years and so it would be unfair for the company to distance itself from what the Asantehene had embarked on. We really appreciate Otumfuo; we are very happy to share his joy with him and congratulate him on his birthday and 15th anniversary celebrations, she said. Endowment fund She further stressed that the donation to the education endowment fund was in support of a good cause geared towards the development of human capital through education. Ms Panin praised the Asantehene for his zeal in promoting national peace and unity. She emphasised the need for individuals and businesses to appreciate the benefits of insurance and the risk of not insuring their properties and businesses. Star Assurance is expanding its operations with new branches across the country in order to improve penetration and distribution of insurance products and services for the public and to attract the non-insured public as well, Ms Panin added. She challenged individuals and organisations to take precautionary measures in their operations and more importantly, pick up insurance policies against the expected and unexpected risks while they focused on their businesses.
