Betty Not Vying For NDC Chair

Snippets of information gathered by the Daily Post indicates that contrary to reports by a section of the media, Former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu has no intentions of vying for the position of National Chairperson of the NDC at the partys next congress. Incredibly, a poster of the Former Attorney-General indicating she would be contesting for the said position is making the rounds with the speed of wild fire, especially on social media (whatsapp and facebook). On the poster VOTE BETTY MOULD AS NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON is written with the tri-colours; red, white and green. However, this papers investigations indicate that the claim is far from the truth. The Former Attorney-General, who also was once Minister for Education was one of the people whose name came up to be considered as Running Mate to the then Candidate Mills in the run-up to the 2008 elections. Current president, John Dramani Mahama, eventually was chosen to be Running Mate to Candidate Mills who went on to win the 2008 Presidential elections. Betty Mould is seen by many to be one of the key figures within the NDC who helped the party to put up a good show in the 2012 elections. She hails from the region. In a related development, this paper gathered from very reliable sources that she may be contesting one of the National Vice-Chairperson positions in the party. Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu is currently out of the country. More Anon.
