Vodafone Gh To Compensate Customers After Nationwide Network Blackout

The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana�s leading telecommunication network, Vodafone, Haris Broumidis has assured that the telecommunication giant will compensate all its customers both [mobile, landline and data users] for service interruption on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Mr. Haris Broumidis also apologised to its customers who were left marooned in making and receiving calls as well as sending text messages and browsing the internet during the outage. �We [Vodafone Ghana] sincerely and deeply apologise for the experience our customers had. It was an experience we did not want to deliver to our customers�we deeply apologise,� he said. According to him, the badly-behaved services has been fully restored and promised that Vodafone Ghana will deliver smooth and reliable services to its customers always. The CEO however noted that, thorough investigation will be launch into the service blackout since the company �was not expecting that to happen�. Adding that, details of the inquiry will be submitted to the National Communications Authority, NCA. Speaking to some selected media personnel at Vodafone Ghana�s Head Office, Airport, Haris Broumidis announced that there will be a surprise compensation for all Vodafone customers in some days to come. �Our primary objective was to restore the problem. Now we are looking at how to compensate customers for this outage. In the next couple of days, we [Vodafone Ghana] will announce how we can compensate our customers for the outage,� he said.
