Ex-goalie Damba Wants Adam Kwarasey Selected For USA Opener

Ex-international and goalkeepers trainer Abubakari Damba has backed Adam Larsen Kwarasey to live up to the billing if named first choice gloves man for the USA clash on Monday. The Black Stars handlers have been tightlipped on who will be selected between the sticks with the race between Kwarasey and Fatau Dauda. Both goalkeepers were test in pre-World Cup friendlies against Holland and South Korea respectively. It looks Dauda, who lacked regular playing time at Orlando Pirates in the just ended season will be handed the nod. But Damba says the Norwegian born Kwarasey will prove a success when given the opportunity. Kwarasey has been active and has done well during the trial games, Damba told GHANASoccernet.com Fatau is number one, but if Kwarasey comes in, I believe he will have no problems. Many have called for Kwarasey which is logic given his seasonal performance but the truth is they are both good goalkeepers.
