I Suspect Prez Mahama Is Conniving With Afriyie Ankrah To Dupe Ghanaians - Abu Ramadan

National Youth Organizer of Peoples National Convention (PNC) Abu Ramadan, says he strongly suspects President John Dramani Mahama is conniving with the former Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah to deny the country the true account of money pumped into Black Stars participation at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil by reassigning the minister to the Presidency. Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah until his return from Brazil 2014 World Cup after the Senior National Team, Black Stars performed abysmally at the group stage amidst poor preparation from the management of the team, has been replaced by the Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has been moved to the Presidency as a Minister of State. Reacting to President Mahamas reassignment of Elvis Afriyie Ankrah to the Presidency, Abu Ramadan stated on Okay Fms Adeakye Abea Morning Show that the President is giving room for speculation that he is helping the former Minister of Youth and Sports to conceal from Ghanaians the true account of monies given to the Sports Ministry. The PNC Youth Organizer alleged that the kickback from the accrued World Cup Money is meant for 2016 elections, hence President Mahamas inability to force him (Afriyie Ankrah) to account for the monies. Taking into account from the early stage of the tournament that Black Stars were kicked out then the Sports Ministry and GFA have to account for $9 million dollars which Parliament approved for the whole tournament; they have to return some of the money since we didnt travel far in the tournament..they have to give proper account of what the money was used for at the preparation stage to the group stagebut for us to go into our central resource for $3.5 million is very bad. They must account to us why the players refused the transfer of money into their account and preferred fiscal cash..I dont understand why the President has assigned a minister to handle a particular task and people have raised concerns about him and yet the President is not interested in finding out the allegations and charges leveled against the minister.so without Elvis Afriyie Ankrah at the Ministry of Sports, is Mahama Ayariga, the new minister going to give account of what happened at the World Cup? The way the President removed him from that post suggest that he doesnt want Elvis to render an account of the monies given to him.Is the President hiding something from Ghanaians or is there any truth in the grapevine report that kickbacks from the World Cup monies has been earmarked for 2016 elections campaign? he quizzed.
