Bishop Annor-Yeboah To Be Buried Aug 23

The Founder and Presiding Bishop of the Christian Praise International Centre (CPIC), Bishop Dr Augustine Annor-Yeboah, will be buried on Saturday, August 23, 2014, the Interim National Governing Council of the church has announced. Before the burial, he will be laid in state at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra from 6a.m. to 8a.m., after which a burial service will be held at the same venue. The Interim National Governing Council, which made this known last Thursday, said there would be a vigil on Friday, August 22, 2014, at the headquarters of the church at Pig Farm in Accra. It said a thanksgiving service would be held on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the CPIC headquarters. One week observance There was wailing at the residence of the CPIC founder at Hydraform Estates, Spintex Road, last Thursday, as members of the church, leaders of various churches and loved ones cobserved one week of his death. The mourners included some pastors and members of the Christ Apostolic Church International (CAC), where Bishop Dr Annor-Yeboah had served in various capacities as General Secretary and National Chairman before severing ties with CAC to establish the CPIC. Nana Apraku, a representative of Chiraahene; the Executive Director of the West Africa Nobles Forum, Dr Otibu Asare; the President of Regent University College, Prof. F. K. Larbi; and Evangelist Martha Nana Aba Hagan of the Victory Prophetic Church were among the mourners who signed a book of condolence opened in memory of Bishop Dr Annor-Yeboah. The CPIC founder died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Thursday, June 26, 2014.
