NPP Man Supports TUC

Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwamena Wansema Duncan, has indicated his intention to support organised labour nationwide strike today. Speaking on Peace FM in Accra yesterday, he said President John Dramani Mahama is a mistake for Ghana. According to him, President Mahama is largely the cause of the countrys economic woes. This, he explained, was as a result of his governance style and mediocre ministers he has appointed to run affairs of this country. His style of leadership is nothing to write home about, he opined. With few years that he [President Mahama] has been in power, the NPP central regional scribe noted that the country has witnessed serious challenges including erratic power supply, acute water shortage, high cost of living and above all the fast-fall of cedi. The outspoken NPP man bemoaned the recent gesture by the president where he donated 44 Pick-ups to some chiefs in the country. Meanwhile there are people out there facing difficulties, he fumed. Many schools lack basic infrastructure and the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is also wobbling yet you [referring to President Mahama] find it necessary to make unnecessary donations, he added. Celebrating the life of the late President Mills, Kwamena Duncan admitted, is necessary. However, he said: I will embark on the strike with TUC to vent our grievances and the hardships we are going through. For his part, deputy General-Secretary of NDC and a spokesperson for formal President Jerry John Rawlings, Kofi Adams, who contributed to the discussion, was surprised about the NPP mans comments. According to him, demonstrations will not solve the countrys problems. we must encourage all of us to do more sacrifices, he added.
