Medeama To Unveil Prince Owusu As Head Coach

Ghana sports has gathered that SC Medeama has signed Prince Owusu as head coach and the club will unveil him to the club's supporters ahead of the upcoming premier league season. Prince Owusu takes over from Carlos Roberto Paullete, who parted ways with the club after failing to renew his contract. Prince Owusu confirmed this to Ghana sports in a telephone conservation. Information also picked by Ghana Sports indicate that the former Tema Youth trainer signed a two-year deal on Monday night after meeting with the club president, Moses Armah. �I am happy to have signed for Medeama and my first goal will be to try to finish in the top four and prepare Medeama for the task ahead in the coming season. �I will beef up the defence but will maintain lots of the players.Medeama has played in the CAF Confederation Cup and I would want to do same at a time that I have taken over as coach of the club,� Prince Owusu said. �At the moment I have not shortlisted any player on transfer and it is not my intention to do that now but will work with all the players," he added. �I will monitor their progress before deciding to put somebody on transfer.� Prince Owusu is confident the players will work hard to place the club in a respectable position. Medeama finished ninth at the end of the 2013-2014 First Capital Plus Premier League season.
