Black Bombers Poised For Thrilling Commonwealth Games

The head coach of the Black Bombers, Ofori Asare says he is impressed with the level of organisation of the pre games towards the commonwealth games in Glasgow. Mr Ofori Asare says so far the facilities, accommodation and feeding has been excellent. The team has the opportunity to train in two different gyms at Coylton and Wosso Boxing Gym. Ghana will be represented by seven boxers at the Games: Sulemanu Tetteh (Light Flyweight), Abdul Wahib Omar (Flyweight), Jessie Lartey (Lightweight), Musah Raman Lawson (Light Welterweight), Azumah Mohammed (Welterweight), David Bawah (Light Heavyweight) and Osumanu Haruna (Super Heavyweight). The head coach added that since the athletes have not been to any international competition since the Olympic Games in London in 2012 they lack exposure and competition. The black bombers won a bronze medal each at the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games and hope to go further this time in Glasgow.
