Happy Eid-Ul-Fitr To All Muslims Fred Sai

Former Advisor on Reproductive Health in Ghana, Prof. Fred T. Sai, has extended his warmest greetings to the National Chief Imam and wished all Muslims a Happy Eid-ul-Fitr. You have honoured your faith throughout the month of Ramadan. I know the celebration will bring together friends and families and reflect values of generosity and charity in our society, he stated in a statement to the press. As we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr together, he said, We also honour our women and girls for the role they have played in shaping Islam and the Ghanaian society. We honour them for all the Quran says about them. Prof. Sai, who is also the former President of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), used the occasion to draw peoples attention to an important book by Prof. Mahmoud Fathalla, a distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, former President of the International Federation of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and practising Muslim of high position who has been a leader in the advocacy for advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights globally. He said Professor Fathalla, who visited Ghana recently and gave a most inspiring speech at his 90th birthday anniversary celebration, had just had his book: What Does The Quran Say About Women? released for free downloading. The book is currently available for download on the internet and I urge all interested in equitable development to try and get it through the link, http://alazhar-iicpsr.org under Publications-Books-Reproductive Health Books.
