Ghana�s hope in Swimming dashed

Ghana�s hope of making progress in Swimming was dashed after "Day Three" of the ongoing 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Ophelia Swayne, Ghana�s swimming sensation clocked a time of 29.66 seconds to place sixth in the Women�s Butterfly 50 meters category. The results, ended her chances of making progress to the next stage of the competition, whilst Jackson brothers; Abeiku and Abbiw also made 56.47sec and 56.87 sec respectively to place third and fourth in the Men�s 100meter Freestyle. Antwi Kwabe also placed fifth with 33.63 sec in the Men�s 50m Backstroke. In Table Tennis, Ghana handed Kenya three straight defeat in the Women�s Group with Bernice Borquaye, Cynthia Kwabi and Cecilia Baah Danso as the proud winners, whilst Men�s Judo -100kg, saw Athania Sahli of India defeating Raymond Normeshie, with Victor Ahiavor losing to Ombiongno Stephane of Nigeria.
