U.S. Embassy Wishes Ghanaian Muslims Eid Mubarak

The Embassy of the United States of America in Accra has sent greetings to Muslim communities in Ghana on the occasion of 'Eid-ul-Fitir', which marks the end of the one-month-long Ramadan fast. A press statement from the Embassy signed by Zainab Mahama, Information Assistant, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said: �Ramadan has been a time for families and communities to share the happiness of coming together in intense devotion, reflection and service. �The United States reaffirms her commitment to partner with Ghana for the mutual benefit of both countries.� It added that as Ramadan comes to an end, the Mission sends its best wishes for a blessed holiday to Muslim communities across the country. Meanwhile, the Office of the National Chief Imam has announced that this year's Eid-ul-Fitir celebration falls on Monday, July 28, 2014, which the Ministry of the Interior has also declared as a public holiday.
