Season 2 Of Speak Up Starts Airing On E.TV Ghana

Season 2 of Speak up, an anti corruption campaign developed by Global Media Alliance and the Ghana Anti Corruption Coalition (GACC) and supported by Star Ghana will start airing on e.TV Ghana from Sunday, August 3, 2014. The Speak up project is an accountability Media watch initiative which has been designed to encourage Ghanaians to stand and speak against all sorts of corruption, particularly, in the education and health sectors in Ghana through its live on-air dialogues. According to Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, Managing Director of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting LTD, season 2 of the program will focus on involving Ghanaians in the fight against corruption. He stated that Corruption can only be curbed through collaborative efforts by the people of Ghana. Since the introduction of Speak Up earlier this year, we have realized that many Ghanaians want to expose corruption but they are either afraid of doing so or lack education as to how to report such issues. Season 2 of the program will therefore focus on educating the public on the process of reporting corruption to the respective institutions in Ghana. Mr. Agyeman went on to say that the Show will re-introduce and educate viewers on the whistle-blower act and how to act as informant in the process of exposing corruption. We thank GACC and Star Ghana for partnering with us on this campaign. We look forward to another great program with the season 2 in August. Speak Up will start showing live from August 3 on e.TV every Sunday at 9pm and on Happy FM in Twi, every Friday at 9am.
