Ghana Police Service Resumes Recruitment

The Ghana Police Service will be recruiting candidates standing by from 2012 recruitment exercise. Speaking in an interview on Peace FM Morning Show 'Kokrokoo' on Wednesday, DSP Cephas Arthur, Director of Public Administration of the Ghana Police Service, indicated that new candidates who want to join the service should hold on because 'this exercise is ONLY for candidates who started the recruitment exercise in 2012. "New candidates who come during the registration will be sent away" he stated. DSP Cephas Arthur warned the public against fraudsters who will pretend to be part of the Police Service. According to him, "new forms will not be given out and new candidates will not be recruited, so be careful". He also indicated that the candidates who registered in 2012 will have to go through medical screening again 'but it will not be as former' Read a copy of the statement from the Police Service The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public, especially the backlog of candidates standing by from the 2012 recruitment exercise that, it has resumed processing those shortlisted applicants. The exercise, which includes aptitude test, medical examination and vetting, is on-going, and the last batch are to go through the necessary processes with effect from Friday 8th August, 2014. The shortlisted applicants have been informed through the established communication channels for such purposes to report for the exercise. For the purposes of emphasis, the Police Service wishes to indicate that this is not a fresh recruitment, therefore individuals who are not part of the shortlisted candidates should stay away from the exercise. The public are hereby reminded to be wary of recruitment fraudsters, who would present themselves as middlemen to defraud them, as no agent(s) have been contracted to recruit on its behalf.
