Last Saturday, management of the Oak Plaza Group of Hotels hosted some selected pressmen from the media fraternity. The purpose for the gathering was to celebrate the Oak Plaza Hotels and Ghana. The General Manager of the plush facility used the forum to formally introduce their new Group Executive Chef, Duncan Wales and shared with us, his vast experience in the creation of the most exquisite meal experiences. On behalf of the Board of Directors of our group, our amazing management team and indeed our wonderful staff, I would like to say a warm, warm welcome to you all. Wow! It is a privilege to have you all here today. Tonight we celebrate the Oak Plaza Hotels and Ghana. Oak Plaza is proudly Ghanaian and proudly one of the top twelve hotels in Ghana. We take pride in redefining standards within the hospitality industry and consistently work on providing above and beyond the minimum standards required by the industry internationally. These are exciting times for us at Oak Plaza. We have welcomed on board our new Group Executive Chef, Duncan Wales who brings to the table his vast experience in the creation of the most exquisite meal experiences. Having lived in Ghana for the past 5 years, he infuses exciting Ghanaian dishes into our menus, creating an awesome blend of international and local cuisine. We are proud to say that we support the Ghana market place by ensuring that we use mostly locally grown and manufactured produce and items. We also welcome on board our new Group Food and Beverage Manager Nahshon Matheka. He brings a wealth of knowledge in liquid cuisine. He excites the palate with exotic drinks, blending his years of experience in Dubai with those from his native country Kenya. We continue to redefine standards by taking our corporate social responsibilities seriously. With our key focus on education we work with AMSCO the African Management Services Company to ensure that relevant and appropriate knowledge is transferred to our staff. We are also the only hotel in Ghana running the Lobster Ink training programs. This is an internationally recognized training program that allows our staff to acquire world class skills. Each member of the team is committed to providing every guest with uplifting and unforgettable encounters with Ghana. The Oak Plaza Hotels provides the comfort you need away from home. We continue to redefine standards by upgrading our rooms periodically to meet international standards. To help achieve this Oak Plaza welcomes Nestor Atsunyo to the team, our new chief engineer whose experience in hotel engineering will go a long way in ensuring our properties are well maintained.
