Citi FM Write-Away Contest Gets More Exciting

This year's Citi FM Write-Away contest is becoming more interesting. While the examiners mark the scripts, some of the stories - selected at random, are being read on the various programmes to give listeners a feel of the quality of entries. The examiners would shortlist twenty (20) stories at the end of marking. The the top three (3) would be selected then be selected from that list, from which the ultimate winner to be selected. Thousands of school children aged between 10 and 14 years have submitted entries for this year's contest. The children were given the liberty to explore and express themselves by writing their own stories, with their own fictional characters in not be less than 600 words that ends with the idiom �a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.� With great success chalked in the past, Citi 97.3 FM has once again decided to offer a mouth watering cash prize, to be awarded on Saturday September 6 at a grand ceremony. The Ultimate Winner this year will walk away with a GH�5,000 cash prize, with the 1st and 2nd runner ups walking away with GH�3,000 and GH�1,000 respectively. The Write-Away Contest is sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank and Indomie Instant Noodles and supported by Finlite and the Volta River Authority.
