Amarkye Dede and Sarkodie To Rock London

Lovers of high-life and hip-life music in London are in an expectant mood, as they look forward to hosting legendary Amakye Dede and fast rapper Sarkodie. The show, organised by Akwaaba, Desire and Executive Promotions, will put the two giants on one stage at the Dominion Centre, Broadway High Road at Wood Green in London this Sunday August 24, 2014. Already, tickets priced at 20 and 30 for regular and 50 for VIP, are selling like hot cake and are expected to be sold by Friday, according to the organisers of the much anticipated high profile late evening jam. Chief architect of the show, Freddi Annan of Base Incorporated Limited, a seasoned events organiser domiciled in London, exclusively told NEWS ONE that The stage is set for the show; words cant describe how expectant the Ghanaian community has been since we announced the date for the show. The auditorium accommodates close to 3,000 people, and we are expecting a full house. We are bringing the two stars to spice up the boring lives of Ghanaian workers. I receive countless phone calls daily; they want to be sure the show is coming on and they are buying the tickets. Its been encouraging so far, said Annan. Responding to why the blend of the two, he explained; You see, both artistes are maestros in their own ways. Abrantie has a vast audience among the older, middle aged, and to some extent, the young generation, whilst Sarkodie, no doubt, will appeal to the current generation. A Ghanaian resident in Wood Green, Jonas Mac-Tetteh, said in an interview; It is a good initiative. I must commend the organisers of the show. At least the idea of bringing the Ghanaian community under one roof to have fun is healthy. More of such shows, no doubt, will ease the boredom; after all, all work and no play
