Information available to peacefmonline.com indicates that POTAG has called off its prolonged strike. Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG) members have been on strike since May 15, 2014 over the non-payment of their book and research allowances since 2013. Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, the General Secretary of POTAG, Ibrahim Adamu disclosed that both parties (government and POTAG) has reached an agreement after a meeting which took place on Tuesday. He indicated that the two parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at an emergency meeting called by the Employment and Labour Relations Ministry. "POTAG will soon come out with a press release to that effect; after we meet with the rest of our members," he indicated.
