Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Sherry Ayittey and Ghanaian International Journalist with the Multimedia group, Jefferson Sackey are among this year�s recipients of an Honorary Doctorate Degree Awards from the Dayspring Christian University in Mississippi, USA. Samia Nkrumah, Daughter of Ghana�s first President and NADMO boss, Kofi Portuphy will also be honoured for their exemplary roles in national development in their various fields. A special convocation will be held at the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences of the University of Ghana this Saturday to confer the awards on twelve other personalities including the Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour, Abraham Koomson and TUC boss Kofi Asamoah. Past recipients of the Honorary Doctorate Award from the US University are Ghana�s Speaker of parliament, Right Hon. Dr Doe Adjaho and Coach of Ghana�s national football team, Dr Kwesi Appiah.
