Government Will Address Economic Challenges � MP

The Member of Parliament for the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency, Mrs Georgina Nkrumah Aboah, has called on Ghanaians to have confidence in the government as it takes steps to address the economic challenges facing the country. According to her, the government was committed to solving the economic difficulties confronting the nation so as to alleviate the plight of the people. She stated that the difficult times Ghanaians were going through were not only peculiar to Ghana since countries over the world were facing challenges. Mrs Nkrumah Aboah made these statements when she presented 10 packets of roofing sheets to the chiefs and people of Breman Bedum towards the completion of their community centre. The project was initiated by the people to construct a centre to host social gatherings. Mrs Aboah said despite the challenges facing the nation, the government had undertaken numerous projects which were dotted around the country, and added that the government would ensure that development was spread to all parts of the country. She therefore called on the people to support the government at all times so as to propel the progress of the nation. Progress in the area She added that the district would receive its share of the national cake to help improve the living standards of the people in the area. She assured the chiefs that she would ensure that the project was completed to provide the people with a conducive environment to host social events. District Chief Executive The Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Adom Botchway, said he would effectively collaborate with the MP to execute projects to better the lot of the people. He noted that they would continue to support the completion of community initiated projects since such initiatives complemented the efforts of the government. Appreciation The Chief of the town, Nana Kweku Essuon II, on behalf of the people, expressed his appreciation to the MP for the gesture and also commended her for the efforts towards the progress of the district. He urged the MP to use her influence to lobby for more projects to address some of the infrastructural challenges facing the area.
