�I even feel like crying when I talk about Nana Addo...we have seen clearly that the man has something in his heart for we the northerners,� says Anthony Abeyifa Karbo, a former Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on Tuesday�s edition of Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", Karbo sought to explain why Nana Addo won massively in the three Northern Regions of Ghana. At the just ended Electoral College of the NPP, Nana Addo won convincingly to emerge ahead of his other contenders who were fighting to be among the top five to contest for the flagbearership slot. In the Northern Region, Nana Addo polled 62 votes out of the 77 votes cast. He recorded 32 votes out of the 32 delegates in the Upper West Region and in the Upper East Region, he had 37. �Not a single aspirant disclosed who their running mate will be. We were so grateful and glad when Nana Addo chose Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as running mate in 2008 and 2012 and he has again stated that he will not change his running mate if he is elected flagbearer. So if somebody has shown confidence in one of our own, we need to show appreciation by voting for him. That was why Nana Addo won massively in the three Northern Regions, he disclosed. According to the former Youth Organiser, �when you look at the message of Akuf- Addo, if you are a Northerner, you will see a level of hope. Bridging the gap between the north and the south is the wish of every northerner and Akufo-Addo has made that promise. He has also promised free secondary education�.we have seen clearly that the man has something in his heart for we the northerners. I even feel like crying when I talk about Nana Addo�.� Karbo added that the new executives of the NPP need to be commended for organising �one of the most successful congresses in the history of the country�. He is confident that they (Executives) also have what it takes to organise the upcoming National Delegates Conference in October 18, 2014.
