The Agona West Municipal Assembly has contracted another waste management company known as "BOLA Solution Limited� to build a recycling plant to process the liquid waste. The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Oppong, said the waste would be processed into fertilizer, fuel, bio gas and energy. Mr Oppong made this known at the second ordinary meeting of the Assembly at Agona Swedru. He said the project would be implemented with adjoining districts and these are Agona East, Gomoa East districts and Effutu Municipal. He said the Company decided to establish the Plant at Agona Swedru because of the huge volume of waste generated in the area and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development was collaborating with the Attorney General�s Department to do critical analysis of the contract agreement. On the education, Mr Oppong said the Assembly had assisted 62 students financially to continue their education at the senior high and tertiary levels. He said the Assembly also supported the Municipal Education Directorate to organize mock examination for candidates who sat 2014 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
