I Dont Hate Nana Addo Arthur Kennedy Professes

Former Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy, who believes his involvement in Nana Akufo-Addos campaign was only a token inclusion, has stated that he does not hate the former Foreign Minister who is making a third-term bid for the NPPs nomination in any way but rather loves him. According to Arthur K, he felt each of the defeats of Nana Addo as he did and therefore seeks that the Mr. Musthapha Hamids assertion that he is on a mission to destroy him be discarded. Mr. Hamid had stated that he believes there cannot be any other justification for the persistent campaign of vilification waged by Dr. Arthur K., and designed to malign Akufo Addo after he issued a statement describing it as subversive calls on the three other aspirants who are in the race for flag bearer of the NPP. The former Communications Director of the NPP, Dr. Arthur averred that it is rather his honest disagreement with the Akufo Addo camp that has been mistaken for hatred. He believes that the gaps in inclusiveness that led to Alans attempted resignation from the party and even the side-lining of Bamba and Otiko Djaba in 2012 cannot help them prove to Ghanaians that they love them if they hate each other. If you hate your siblings and love Christ, you are a liar. As to inclusiveness, while he started well in 2008, Nana has some work to do there. It was the gaps in inclusiveness that led to Alans attempted resignation, the failure to consult President Kufour on going to court instead of to Tain in 2009, and the sidelining of Bamba and Otiko in 2012, Arthur K said. Arthur K further stated that regardless of peoples view of Chairman Paul Afoko and Agyapong, they have an obligation to support them in their quest to wrestle power form the NDC come 2016 for the NPP. He therefore urged all NPP members and sympathizers to follow the partys constitutionally mandated process for choosing a flagbearer without violence. On Mr. Musthapha Hamids casting of doubt on his loyalty to the party, he stated that he has never heard Hamid or by inference Nana Addo cast doubt on the standing of those who invaded the party headquarters with guns and cutlasses. He said his suffering and treasure that he had poured for the party speaks for itself. He quoted Professor Busia who once said that the true test of a democracy is not even the right of a minority to disagree it is the right of a lone dissenter to disagree with the group and yet feel safe and welcomed and sought that the party unites for 2016.
