I Welcome Competition" - Nana Addo

Presidential hopeful and two-time presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP,) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said suggestions by some party frontrunners to let other aspirants vying to lead the NPP step down should be snubbed. There have been calls urging candidates contesting the NPP Delegates' Congress to step down ahead of the October 18 polls, citing the margin of victory recorded by Nana Akufo-Addo in the Super Delegates' Congress. But Nana Addo insists that competition has always been his hallmark so he is therefore looking forward to a keener contest in the upcoming NPP National Delegates' Congress slated for October 18. He is very optimistic that, just as he led the August 31 congress with a vast different, such margin is expected in October 18. I am not going to worry myself about people standing down or not. I welcome competition, I have always welcomed competition. The most important thing is that, on that day, October 18, the party must speak emphatically like the party spoke emphatically on August 31, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo posted on his Facebook Wall
