Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac touched down at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra yesterday evening to begin talks for the technical adviser job of the Black Stars. The former Ghana coach who qualified the Black Stars to the quarter final stages of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa is set for a second spell with the team after a tumultuous times recentlly under coach Kwasi Appiah. A three-man body set up by the Ghana FA to hunt for a suitable candidate settled on the former Ghana coach due to the cordial relationship between him and current trainer Kwesi Appiah. Appiah served as his deputy when he was in charge of Ghana between 2008 and 2010. Appiah has come under intense bashing after an embarrassing outing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The 2010 global showpiece quarter-finalists managed just a point and failed to make it out of the group stages at the latest edition in the South American country. The 60-year-old is expected to beef up the Appiah-led technical bench, which a section of the public perceives to be lacking tactical ideas. �I feel very relaxed... Ghana is like my second home,� Rajevac, who led Ghana to the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola told TV 3�s Juliet Bawuah at the airport in Accra. Rajevac, who left the Black Stars job after 2010 and signed on to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli Jeddah, hinted that it is a foregone conclusion he is the man to join Appiah in the dugout to help with his expertise. �It's good to be back home," Rajevac, who took the west African side to their first quarter-finals at the World Cup in South Africa noted. It is, however, not clear if the Serbian will be joining the senior national team of Ghana to Togo�s capital Lome for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday.
