A flagbearer aspirant of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kyerematen says there is the need to change �keys� if truly NPP wants to gain power in 2016. He told Kwami Sefa Kayi on the Kokrokoo Morning Show that all the keys the NPP had used to open the door to victory in 2008 and 2012 have failed; hence the need for a change. The NPP with the then Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo were not able to take power from the hands of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2008 and 2012 elections. Even though majority of the NPP members are still calling for Nana Addo to be their Presidential candidate for the 2016 election, Alan Kyerematen, a close contender of Akufo Addo says there is the need to change keys and by extension, change the candidate. �They should look at my character and be rest assured that I can bring this party together. I have the track record locally and internationally� God has given us two keys to a door full of blessing and He wants us to open the door and save Ghanaians. We have tried one of the keys for a very long time and it is not working so I will urge that we change the key; maybe that will open the door for us,� he suggested. The NPP will be voting for their Presidential Candidate for the 2016 elections on October 18th 2014 at their National Delegates Congress. The delegates will choose one person among these three: Nana Akufo Addo, Francis Addai Nimoh and Alan Kyerematen to lead them to victory in 2016.
