A fire outbreak occurred at the UT Bank branch at the Accra Airport City on Thursday. Fire personnel were quick to put the fire out. According to a release issued by the bank, thereafter, the necessary health and safety checks were undertaken at the office and the premises was declared safe for business by the Ghana National Fire Service. There were no injuries, casualties nor damage to equipment, it said. The release said the bank�s mobile banking van was moved to the Airport City premises as a backup to render prompt services to customers. �The safety and security of our employees, customers and stakeholders are of paramount importance to us and we are committed to ensuring that our day to day operations are undertaken within strict safety and emergency guidelines,� the release quoted UT Bank�s Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Rami Baitie, as saying. It assured the customers of the bank and the public that its Airport City branch continued to offer banking services.
