Dr. Arthur Kennedy has written recently to say that all his writings and utterances on the NPP are based on principles of his and that he does not hate anybody. However, I disagree with him; he hates Nana. Principles are for good deeds and not for causing pain and destruction of others. He has been writing to cause pain and anguish to Nana. When provoked recently, after writing a damning piece about Nana, to prove why he ascribes violence to Nana Addo, all he said was that his observation was based on �common sense.� How? I�ll tell you what; there was a certain gentleman who, when he was being made the leader of his people, (what you usually call odikro or nana or ebusuapanin or something to that effect), met another chap protesting vehemently against his elevation. Meanwhile, this man to be elevated didn�t know the chap who was protesting against his installation anywhere and that to him was very curious. Dislike And such is life. A person may dislike or even, hate another person for no apparent reason and it�s difficult to understand why. Somebody may dislike you because of the way you speak, or the way you walk or the way you interact with others and this is completely beyond your control. There is nothing you can do about this. Have you forgotten so soon the remark made by one young man on former President Kufuor��In fact, I hate Kufuor�? What did Kufuor do to this young man so he could say publicly that �I hate Kufuor� and get away with it? I presume nothing but he hates him and said so openly. Deduce In the same way you can deduce from the writings and utterances of Dr. Arthur Kennedy that he hates Nana Akufo-Addo to the core. And he gives himself away any time he has an opportunity to comment on anything on the NPP. And he is not the only person with bitterness in him against Nana Addo. Arthur Kennedy wrote about the mayhem that took place recently at the headquarters of the party and he put the blame squarely on the doorsteps of Nana Addo. He said Nana Addo was the person who literarily signaled those thugs to cause the mayhem at the party headquarters. He also said Nana Addo was the brain behind the siege at President Kufuor�s residence some time ago in the past. His deduction is that Nana Addo should have spoken out publicly on those issues. Loyal How can a supposedly-loyal founding member of the NPP say these openly against a colleague-founding member if he is truly loyal and has good intentions about his colleague and the party? And does he have the evidence? Last week Dr. Kennedy in a write-up advised Alan and the other competitors to campaign on the platform that Nana Addo is a violent person for which reason delegates should vote against him on 18th October, 2014. He also said Nana is not a unifier and gave names of people who were sidelined during the campaigns in 2008 and 2012. But when it was pointed out to him that he was included in the campaign team of 2008 in spite of the fact that he competed against Nana for the flag bearership race in 2007, his answer was that his inclusion was only a token. A token inclusiveness, Arthur Kennedy? How can you say that? Why did you accept the offer to serve in that capacity reserved for you knowing very well that it was �token inclusiveness� and nothing else? Arthur Kennedy is sounding like a hypocrite, I�m sad to say. FM stations Arthur Kennedy goes on Okay Fm to castigate Nana Addo; he goes on CiTi Fm to lampoon Nana; he goes on Neat Fm to chastise Nana; he goes on JoyFm to criticize Nana and he writes and sends copies to all newspaper outlets detailing how devilish Nana is. And he says all these are to straighten things up in the party. Is that how to straighten things up when you are deliberately stabbing Nana in the back and making sure that he looks bad in the eyes of the public, particularly those outside the party? Yet, I don�t think Nana has done anything dastardly wrong against Arthur Kennedy for which reason he should hate him so much. It was not through Nana�s instrumentality that Dr. Kennedy had only one vote at the 2007 congress at Legon when he also wanted to be President of the republic. Again, when Arthur wanted to reduce himself and become an MP in a constituency in the Central Region, Nana didn�t in any way, manipulate to have him out-voted for which reason he should nurse any grudge against Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. So, what at all, has Nana done against Dr. Arthur Kwabena Kennedy? He should tell us all and thereafter, we will sympathize with him and even apologize. For now, we see him as a traitor doing the work of enemies of the party who are rejoicing that Arthur Kennedy is slaughtering Nana. Recently, an NDC insider wrote a piece on it: The slaughter of Nana Addo by Arthur Kennedy. Is this fair? Others There are scores of people both within and outside of the NPP who have sworn to the hilt that they will try everything possible at their command to make sure Nana doesn�t become president of the republic. Arthur Kennedy is one of them. He hates Nana like the plague and anybody who listens to him and takes his advice now does so at his own risk. He has outlived his usefulness in the party and has now become irrelevant. Here is a person who says the NPP is not a royal family for which reason nobody should be allowed to go unopposed in any party contest and yet he doesn�t file his papers to contest. Why doesn�t he contest? Hon Hilda Addo If you also listen to Hon Hilda Addo, former MP for the Kwadaso constituency in the Ashanti region, you cannot but firmly conclude that she also has some bitterness within her against Nana Addo. I have heard her on a couple of occasions on air extolling the virtues of Alan and castigating Nana saying he is not a winner. She, like Ohene Ntow, believes Alan appeals more to floating voters than Nana Addo and all the other contestants for which reason Alan should be the flag bearer. But how can Alan come face to face with the floating voters when he has not crossed the bridge in the NPP? I find this argument very absurd. I don�t personally like the way Hilda turns Nana Addo into a fodder ready for munching by his adversaries. Then, when she has finished, Hawa Koomson also takes it up for Nana Addo and �gives it out� to Hilda in an accusation-and counter-accusation contest on radio. Does this augur well for the party? Hawa Koomson Hilda Addo is wrong and Hawa Koomson is also wrong in the way they trade insults on the air waves. I hope they will stop that forthwith. You will also notice that the mother of all bitterness against Nana Addo comes from the posture of Nana Ohene-Ntow, one time General-Secretary of the NPP. Here is a former General-Secretary who says that Nana Addo can only be described as popular if he is the President. In other words, those who say Nana Addo is the most popular person in the NPP are speaking bunkum. His client, Alan Kyerematen is the most popular and the delegates should go for him. I think Ohene Ntow is stretching the contest to ridiculous levels by many of the things he says although he sees the reality staring at him in the face. And it�s all because of the bitterness he nurses against Nana Addo. You may recollect that when Nana Ohene Ntow was seeking re-election as the General-Secretary, it was Sir John, perceived to be Nana Addo�s boy, who dumped him miserably. Since then Nana Ohene Ntow has never in practical terms said anything pleasant about Sir John and Nana Akufo-Addo. Ohene Ntow How can you operate with bitterness in you in politics? It won�t work. Nana Ohene Ntow should know this and he knows it, given his background. He is maligning everybody for the low reception his client is receiving in the party at this point in time and insists some sort of manipulation has been going on against Alan orchestrated by a long hand within the NPP. Nana Ohene Ntow should discard the bitterness in him and face reality. I can�t see how Alan Kyerematen can overturn the tables to beat Akufo-Addo on 18th October and become the flag bearer. It�s wishful thinking but wishes are not horses. It they were, beggars would ride on them. All those who have bitterness in them against Nana Addo, particularly Dr. Arthur Kennedy, Hilda Addo, Nana Ohene Ntow and several others who are members of the party should discard it and do clean campaign for October 18. Therein lies our strength otherwise we expose ourselves to our opponents.
