Address Me As A Prophet - Says Sir John

Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as 'Sir John' has described himself as a prophet for successfully predicting a court action by some members of the party who want an extension of the party's Congress date. it is only a prophet who speaks and it comes to pass he said on Okay FM's Ade Akye Abia . Sir John however, stated that it is hypocritical for anyone to claim they have not had adequate time to conduct their campaign and would therefore instigate a court action to change the date of the Congress because they knew the Delegates Congress was scheduled for 18th October this year before they picked up nomination forms. He further stated that you can leave the contest if you think you didnt have enough time to campaign. On the question as to whether the court action would have an impact on the outcome of the congress, Sir John said no but was of the view that Lawyers of NPP will go and argue the partys case out. Two card-bearing members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are seeking a court injunction on the party's National Delegates' Conference next month to select a presidential candidate. The plaintiffs, Rexford Agyei Frimpong and Opong Kyekyeku, say the October 18 date is a violation of the partys constitution, adding the date favours Nana Akufo-Addo, the lead contender in the race. This suit comes shortly after Alan Kyerematen and Addai Nimoh made calls for a review of the date for the elections to elect a flagbearer to lead the part in the 2016 general elections. It was also after Sir John had hinted of a plot to drag the party to court over the congress date but wants to addressed as prophet because he has the ability to predict into the future.
