Adomfe Water Has No Medicinal Powers FDA

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has discredited claims by the producers of Adomfe Water that the product has medicinal qualities. The producers claimed the water is potent for the treatment of various diseases including stroke, infertility, and cardiovascular diseases. But the drugs enforcement body in a statement signed by the Chief Executive Mr. Hudu Mogtari said its investigations have revealed that the product, ADOMFE WATER is ordinary water with no therapeutic properties and therefore the claims being made are deceptive. The FDA has therefore seized a quantity of the unregistered water in the Brong Ahafo Region because selling of such products contravenes Schedule Five of the Public Health Act 2012 (Act 851). The Act does not allow any food product, which includes water, to be sold as a medicinal product under any circumstance, the statement noted. Furthermore, the general public is hereby cautioned against the patronage of this water since the FDA cannot guarantee its safety, quality and efficacy and those distributing the said water are also to note that it is a criminal offence to offer for sale products that have not been given approval by the FDA. Additionally, the general public is being assured of FDAs readiness to ensure public health and safety at all times and therefore appeals to the general public to give any information on persons suspected to be selling this water through any of the following contacts: 0244337235, 0244337251, 0542736948 or 0208078281.
