MPs Call On CHRAJ Boss To Resign

Member of Parliament for Efutu Constituency, Alex Markin has called on Ms. Lauretta Lamptey, Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), to resign over the financial scandal leveled against her. Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Hon. Alex Markin appealed to Ms. Lamptey to tender in her resignation letter as a matter of principle. According to him, he finds it bextremely difficult to reckon Ghanaians reposing confidence in Ms. Lamptey as CHRAJ Commissioner due to her alleged malfeasance. Hon. Alex Markin therefore advised her to bury her shame and honorably step down so as to uphold the integrity of the Commission. �I cannot foresee this woman still going to head CHRAJ and working for people to accept her�So, in my view, she should resign,� he added. Speaking to the same issue, former Member of Parliament for Mfantseman East Constituency, Hon. Kuntu Blankson also called for justice to take its course in the alleged financial misappropriation by Ms. Lauretta Lamptey.
