AUDIO: Ade Coker & His Executives Can Destroy Our Chances Of Winning In 2016 Allotey Jacobs

Greater Accra and Ashanti Region NDC better advise themselvesif care is not taken, they will destroy our chances of winning in 2016, says Bernard Allotey Jacobs. The Central Regional Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), was speaking on the many court injunctions placed on some NDC constituency elections. Speaking specifically on hat of the Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions, Allotey Jacobs said their activities can destroy NDC chance of winning the elections in 2016 if care is not taken. A Kumasi High Court has ordered the national executives of the NDC in the Ashanti Region, to hold on with the elections for the National Executive Committee and the Ashanti Regional Executive Committee for a 10-day period. A member of the party, Njonolah Linus, who is the immediate past President of Tertiary Institution Net-work (TEIN) of the party at Akrokerri College of Education, instituted the action against the NDC and its national officers for allegedly overstaying their mandated tenure of office. Allotey Jacobs, told Kwami Sefa Kayi on PEACE FM morning show Kokrokoo that the party does not belong to the incumbent executives alone and that they should allow others to also contest no matter what they have done wrong. People (incumbent) want to stay in power and so they will find all means to circumvent the guidelines and make sure they win. The problem is being caused by the incumbent executives, he mentioned. Greater Accra Region Some constituencies in the Greater Accra Region have also been hit by a series of court injunctions, thereby putting their elections on hold. Even though the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Joseph Ade Coker has condemned the numerous court injunctions, Allotey Jacobs says he is responsible for all the court orders. I will blame Ade Coker and his regional executives for what is happening dont look at their bad side, look at the good side that benefits the party he stated. He however condemned the act of always resorting to court action anytime members are aggrieved. He said instead of the court, they can take the case to the National Executive Committee (NEC) as stipulated in the partys constitution.
