Police Mount Search For Driver Who Bolted With GH�20,000

The police have mounted a search for a 38-year-old man for allegedly absconding with GH�20,000 belonging to his employers. The suspect, Bernard Abeiku Morrison, a driver, allegedly disappeared with the money when he was sent by his employers to deposit the money in the bank. He was said to have fled when he was sent by an accountant of the Most Holy Heart School at Dansoman, in Accra, where he (Morrison) worked as a driver. Suspect flees Briefing the Daily Graphic, the Divisional Crime Officer at the Dansoman Police Station, DSP Ferdinand Godfred Amengor, said the incident happened around 1:30pm on Monday, September 29, 2014. He said Morrison was asked to deposit GH�10,000 into an account of the school at the Barclays Bank and another GH�10,000 in the school�s account at the International Commercial Bank, both in Dansoman. But according to Mr Amengor, Morrison failed to deposit the money and had since not been seen The employers� vehicle, a Nissan Primera, with registration number GE 92-09, which he was driving at the time, had also not be found. Morrsion is said to be a native of Agona Swedru in the Central Region. He has worked with the school for the past seven years as a school driver.
