Nana Agyenim Boateng, the Founder and Leader of the United Front Party (UFP) has called for an immediate dissolution of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Governing Board. To him, the Chairperson of the Board, Mrs. Gifty Mahama Biyira should have been picked up by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) by now for her involvement with regards to the progression of certain individuals, who have been cited in the ongoing investigations. ��President Mahama must dissolve the National Service Board and not engage in any family affair because of Gifty Mahama. �She cannot say she is not aware as far as the rot at the NSS is concerned because of her role in the steady progression of people like Alhaji Alhasan Imoro. When she was the Metro Director of Tamale, Alhaji Imoro was the District Director," she said. �..When Gifty Mahama became the Deputy Executive Director, she made Alhaji, who is at the center of the scandal the Northern Regional Director. She again promoted him to the position of an acting Executive Director and subsequently made him the substantive Executive Director of the Scheme, after she had become the Board Chairperson�, he said on Okay FM�s "Ade Akye Abia" program . According to Mr. Agyenim Boateng, the fact that some workers are being dismissed by the Board whiles the BNI investigations are still ongoing shows all is not well with the board. The Governing Board of the Ghana National Service Scheme on Friday, 3rd October, 2014, directed that the Executive Director of the Scheme, Alhaji Alhassan Imoro and his two deputies step aside, in order to pave way for an ongoing investigation by the BNI. Mr. Fiifi Asubonteng, the Director of IT, Mr. Alhassan Iddrisu, the director, PPME, the Acting Internal Auditor, Gloria Aku Mensah and all other officers of the Scheme whose names have been cited in the ongoing investigations have been withdrawn from their positions. However, the Founder and Leader of the UFP wants the immediate arrest of the Chairperson of the Governing Board because of what he believes is her role in the charade to steal from the state.
