An Anglican priest, Reverend Father George Ankrah-Badu, has cautioned Ghanaians against unnecessary attacks on the Judiciary warning that they may face the wrath of God.
Reverend Ankrah-Badu, who was speaking to lawyers and judges at a ceremony to mark the beginning of the legal year in Accra over the weekend said, history had shown that unwarranted attacks on legal officials are �dealt with by God� in the long run.
According to him, several instances in the country�s history, when judges and lawyers have been threatened, �God intervened in mysterious ways to unmask the evidence.�
�The incarceration of the big six, who were made up of five lawyers and a former law student, precipitated the fall of the colonial government and the dismissal of the Chief Justice by Nkrumah and the death of JB Danquah in prison hastened the collapse of the CPP regime,� he recalled.
He therefore cautioned the public and officials from the other arms of government to desist from interfering in the work of the Judiciary or risk the wrath of God.
