Kwabena Adjei To Kick-start Campaign For Re-election Tomorrow

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, incumbent National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Kwabena Adjei will on Wednesday officially launch his campaign bid to lead the governing party for the third time in succession. PEACEFMONLINE.COM is reliably informed that his campaign launch will take place at the Kama Conference Centre in Accra, at 11am. Dr Adjei, who believes he is better placed to head the administration of the NDC after leading the party to two successive electoral victories in 2008 and 2012, will slug it out with three other stalwarts of the party who are also vying for the same position. They are National Coordinator for National Disaster Management Organiser (NADMO) Kofi Portuphy, former Ambassador to Malaysia, Daniel Abodakpi and a former General Secretary of the NDC, Alhaji Hudu Yahya. A former Parliamentarian and a former Minister for Food and Agriculture in the erstwhile "Rawlings regime", Dr Kwabena Adjei, affectionately called Wayo Wayo, will launch his campaign on the theme: "Unity, Tolerance, Stability and Continuity For Sustainable Development." The NDC is expected to go to congress later this year to elect new officers who will steer its affairs for the next four years. More soon....
