Cape Coast South Constituency Youth Wing Of NDC Supports Dr. Spio Garbrah

We, the entire National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Wing of the Cape Coast South Constituency wish to express our profound gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for the appointment of Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, the illustrious son of Cape Coast as the Minister of Trade and Industry. We understand the president will swear him into office soon so that he can assist the president to improve Ghanas economic performance. We are looking forward to Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah working in government to improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. We also thank the appointment committee of Parliament and the Members of Parliament in general for approving his nomination. But at this point, we wish to register our displeasure about the comment made by the Minority Leader, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. He (Mensah Bonsu) made a number of unfortunate statements that were unfair and untrue about Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah aimed at muddying his image. According to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, investigations showed that Ekwow Spio-Garbrahs account that he entered secondary school at age nine was untrue. We want Kyei Mensah Bonsu to tell us who conducted that investigation. He accused Dr. Spio-Garbrahs posture at the vetting as arrogant. Could this be best seen as an attempt by the NPP leadership in Parliament to vilify Spio-Garbrah and to portray him as an arrogant to the Ghanaian public who had shown much affection for him after his excellent performance at the unprecedented six hours vetting? It is so surprising to note that an experience legislator could make such comment after many of the committee members heaped praises on Dr. Spio-Garbrah for his excellent delivery at the vetting with an NPPs Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Titus Glover declared that SPIO DAZZLED AT VETTING. Or Spios penchant for using the least opportunity to educate the members of the committee and the millions of Ghanaians who followed the live telecast of the over six hours vetting amount to arrogance? The general public including the Minority Leader learnt useful lessons from the vetting and therefore must rather applaud the profoundness of Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrahs experience, brilliance and knowledge. We would like to tell the Minority Leader to stop being petty. AFAG is at it again as it spews out nonsense anytime Ghanaians are thinking positively. This is a group that can be rented by any anti JDM to do its bidding- from aggrieved chop bar operators to prostitutes- and they turn round to believe they (AFAG) are credible. For us, the least said about AFAG the better, because they are bunch of blockheads, formed by a blockhead to do the bidding of a blockheaded Nana Addo who got a Third Class at Legon. It will interest Ghanaians to note that, the brain behind AFAG (Gabby Otchere Darko) trailed papers at the law school, leading member like Sammy Awuku, who is also the National Youth Organiser of the NPP could not finish LLB for six or so years now. Yet, they (AFAG) without self audit are calling someone a blockhead. Least we forget, if AFAG is calling on the President not to swear in Spio-Garbrah because he is in their words a blockhead, then we Ghanaians must as well take note, Nana Addo has no business wanting to become a president of this country because he (Nana Addo) is not just a blockhead but a torso. We, the Eighty-Four (84) Branch Youth Organisers, the Constituency Youth Organiser and the Deputy Constituency Youth Organiser of Cape Coast South wish to put it on record that, we are ready to defend and protect the image of Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah. So, anyone who has in mind to attack the persona of Spio-Garbrah must desist from it. Long Live Ekwow Spio-Garbrah Long Live President Mahama Long Live Ghana Signed ALFRED HALM 0261853316 (DEPUTY CONSTITUENCY YOUTH ORGANISER) ERIC ESHUN - AMANYI (CONSTITUENCY YOUTH ORGANISER)
