Labone SHS Denies Dismissing Over 200 Students For Abysmal Performance

Labone Senior High School says it has not issued dismissal letters to any students for abysmal performance at the end of term examinations as being alleged. Speaking on Uniiq Breakfast Drive, the Headmistress, Mrs Mary Amankwah said the decision to paste results of students who fail in various subjects on the school's notice board is an internal arrangement meant to ensure that students sit up. Furthermore, it is a school policy agreed upon by parents that any student who fails in three or more subjects in an end of term examination will be dismissed. Meanwhile, the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools, CHASS, and the Deputy Minister responsible for Secondary Education, as well as the GES say they are not aware of any dismissal of students at Labone Senior High for abysmal performance in the end of term examinations.
