Kabila Charges ALL Political Parties To Be Accountable

James Kwabena Bomfeh, former National Youth Organizer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), has urged political parties in the country to build stronger machinery against corruption. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", James Kwabena Bomfeh; also called Kabila lashed out at political parties for failing to scrutinize their members and ensuring that they do not embezzle funds. According to him, Ghana would be free from corruption should all political parties begin to do internal audit and put their members on the right track. He advised the parties to engage in internal auditing of accounts and stop their members from stealing from party's coffers before they even get the approval of Ghanaians to be in power. �All political parties in this country and this one, I leave no party out including my own party (CPP); must learn to be accountable to themselves and their membership. Political parties are public institutions�Should the parties begin to render honest financial account internally, we will have the courage to deal with people when we are in government and they�re abusing State coffers and State resources,� he indicated. He also charged all Ghanaians to serve as watchdogs over the activities of government officials and institutions. �We must build enough public support against corruption�We should select leaders who abhor wrongdoing,� he insisted.
