New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Kwabena Agyarko has blamed the rot at the National Service Secretary (NSS) and many other public service departments on the ruling NDC government. According to him, the involvement of civil servants in graft is triggered by the way NDC government paid huge dubious judgment debts to individuals and companies at the expense of their efforts at the various departments and agencies to diligently raise funds to develop the country. His comment follows a recent expos� by the BNI which revealed the payment of GHC7.9 million to 22,612 non-existent national service personnel in more than 100 districts in July 2014. The NSS boss, Alhaji Alhassan Imoro is also on record for trying to bribe the investigators with huge sums of money in order to cover up the rot. Speaking on the issue on Oman Fm Morning Show, Hon. Agyarko blamed the rise in the canker on the current political regime heading the various departments as they have been instructing the civil servants to document the various dubious judgment debts to their cronies.
