Gt Accra NDC Facing Needless Difficulties Manly-Spain

Mr Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, aspiring Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said the Greater Accra NDC is currently facing difficult and needless challenges as a result of bad leadership. Everywhere I have been to in the region, I could feel the disappointment of our people. Our people feel neglected, and we cannot, as a party, continue on that path. Things must be different before the 2016 elections, Mr Manly-Spain posited. In a telephone interview with the Daily Graphic last Saturday after he had addressed NDC delegates from various constituencies in the region, he urged party delegates to choose a leader with a proven track record for creating wealth, jobs and has the skills to manage and execute affairs with precision. Delegates, he pointed out, should look out for and choose a leader who is humble, selfless, caring and human-centred in the upcoming regional delegates congress. God willing, if given the nod to lead the NDC as a chairman for Greater Accra, I will be able to use my vast experience and skills to achieve the transformational agenda required to move the party in the region forward in order to win the 2016 elections convincingly, Mr Manly-Spain assured. In his view, the Greater Accra Region needs a chairman who can do the job in order to bring real transformation, prosperity and votes to the party. He dared all his competitors to sign an accord with the delegates and tell them what experience and track record they were bringing on board the NDC if truly they were in to seek the welfare of the party, as well as strengthen the involvement of grass roots decision making and mobilisation. Tell me to walk away from the office after two years if I am unable to deliver what I am promising you and I will respect that decision, Manly-Spain challenged the delegates.
