Gomoa Kojo Oku Calls For Investigations Into Alleged Military Brutalities (PHOTOS)

Concerned residents of Gomoa Kojo Oku near Nyanyano in the central Region are calling for investigations into alleged brutalities they suffered at the hands of some military personnel. Speaking to the issue on NEAT 100.9 FM , the Family head of the Abor Ewusi Twidan Royal family, Ebusuapanyin kabby Caye stated that residents who have genuinely acquired land from the Royal family and have converted part of the land as a Moslem Prayer ground have been facing attacks by one iddrisu ballobey, who also claims ownership of the same parcel of land. According to him, the dispute over the land has been on-going for a while but reached its crescendo when �the said Iddrisu Ballobey recently contracted some uniformed military officers to intimidate residents and land owners of the prayer grounds, which resulted in clashes between the security officers and the residents�. ��we the concerned residents are appealing to the government through the National Security, the Police Administration, the BNI and the Ghana Armed Forces to step into salvage the situation to prevent any future violence�. However, this story that generated a huge public debate as to whether these military officers are indeed personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces or civilians dressed like soldiers.
